“Great location with access to all train and tram services and almost next door to Brasserie Georges, if that‘s your cup of tea. Great breakfast, lots of facilities for kids, and, above all, part of the restaurant/jazz club “Mlle Simone” which puts on frequent jazz combos several times a week in very cool surroundings. And quite reasonable out of season.”

“This was my first time staying here since my normal hotel was sold out, and I’m not quite sure what to think. The room seemed more like a hostel than a hotel (plywood walls, rock hard bed, minuscule bathroom with a musty smell), but other parts of the hotel were quite nice and the breakfast was decent. It does have a practical location next to the train station as well. I’m also including a video of the gym since I couldn’t find much info online - it was in the basement and had a bit of a dungeon feel, and the first time I used it, there was a personal trainer using it for his private client, and they took up most of the space and played very loud music, and made me feel like I was intruding.”

“The Greet hotel is an eclectic experience The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The room was narrow and dark with what looked like black carpet on the ceiling. It was clean and comfortable but very dark not helped with the use of yellow lamps. The bar/restaurant Mdm Simone has a wonderful atmosphere but the menu is extremely narrow in choices we went 2 doors down to the Brasserie Georges where the menu was extensive and quite nice. Breakfast was cheap but again sorely lacking in imagination, there weren’t even croissants and the “hot” food consisted of boiled eggs. But the hotel very kindly allowed us to leave our luggage with them after check out while we waited 4.5 hours for our taxi to the River boat.”

“A generous sized room on the top floor we appreciated! A comfortable bed with pillows a little thin. Instant coffee bags and teas available at entrance area, buy your own milk. Best done from a shop, not at attached restaurant. Location.is good next to train station, it's quiet. *Edit* For clarity: I asked on our first evening about milk and was told I would need to go to the restaurant and buy some. I got lucky first morning, and the kind server gave me some. Next morning, I paid €2.50 for a small amount, into a vessel I took down to the restaurant. I questioned the person at the entrance to hotel and was told, they don't supply milk. I then went & brought some for €1 elsewhere.”

“We had an excellent one-night stay here as a couple with a 1-year-old. The concierges were beyond helpful, especially when we turned up well before check-in time after a long morning's travel with our toddler! We were directed to the quaint little play room, which our daughter loved, and a spacious baby changing room, and they put a rush on getting our room ready for check-in. The facilities overall for families are great, and the family room that we booked was perfect, with plenty of space for us and the cot, and a small terrace for our daughter to get outside - though it did not have a bath, just a shower, which was okay with us. Even though we were on the ground floor near the jazz bar, on a Saturday night, the room was silent inside. The hotel provides everything you need (except a laundry service) and they appear to be very environmentally conscientious as well. It is extremely easy to get to the Perrache train station or to the metro, even with lots of bags and a stroller (a 3-minute walk). We just had one afternoon to spend in Lyon and took directions from the concierge to the Lyon Zoo. A wonderful visit!”

“Great value for price. Welcoming and helpful staff. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Close to perrache train station. Room was small for American standards but typical European size. No complaints.”
